Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 20th April 2026•Last Updated: 31st May 2026
At Salesgee, trust is not a feature. It is the foundation of everything we build.
Salesgee is designed to help ecommerce businesses manage orders, customers, products, inventory, staff, campaigns, delivery, finance, reports, notifications, and business operations from one secure platform. We understand that your business data is sensitive. Your customer records, sales history, staff activity, delivery updates, campaign performance, and financial records deserve serious protection.
This Privacy Policy explains how Salesgee collects, uses, stores, protects, and handles personal and business data when you use our website, platform, plugins, applications, dashboards, forms, APIs, and related services.
By using Salesgee, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We only process your data to provide, secure, improve, and support the Salesgee service.
Salesgee uses security-focused architecture, access controls, business-level data separation, authentication, permission checks, activity logs, and encryption safeguards to help protect your information.
No online platform can honestly promise zero risk, but Salesgee is designed to reduce risk with strong technical, administrative, and operational controls.

4. Business Data Ownership
Your business data remains yours.
Salesgee does not claim ownership of your customers, products, orders, staff records, campaign data, financial records, or business reports.
You grant Salesgee permission to process your data only as needed to provide and secure the platform, deliver requested features, troubleshoot issues, maintain backups, improve service quality, and comply with applicable law.
5. Customer Data You Upload
When you add customer information into Salesgee, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to collect, upload, and use that information.
For example, if your business collects customer names, phone numbers, delivery addresses, or order details, you should ensure that your customers understand how their data will be used for order processing, delivery, communication, and support.
Salesgee acts as a service provider or data processor for customer data you upload, while your business remains responsible for the relationship with your customers.
6. Data Security
Salesgee takes data security seriously.
We use a combination of technical and operational safeguards designed to protect your data from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure.
These safeguards may include:
• Secure authentication
• Role-based access control
• Business-level tenant isolation
• Permission enforcement
• Encrypted data transmission
• Encryption at rest where supported by infrastructure
• Secure API access controls
• Nonce and session protection
• Prepared database queries
• Input sanitization
• Audit logging
• Activity monitoring
• Restricted administrative access
• Backup and recovery controls
• Security-focused development practices
Salesgee is designed so that one business cannot access another business's private orders, customers, staff, reports, settings, or financial records.
7. Encryption
Salesgee uses encryption and secure communication practices to protect data during transmission between your device and our services.
Where technically supported by the hosting infrastructure, data may also be encrypted at rest.
For features explicitly described as end-to-end encrypted, Salesgee will apply end-to-end encryption so that only authorized participants can access the protected content. However, not every platform feature may be end-to-end encrypted, especially where Salesgee must process data to display dashboards, generate reports, manage orders, send notifications, support search, or provide business analytics.
We will not falsely label features as end-to-end encrypted unless that protection is technically implemented for that specific feature.
8. Access Controls and Staff Permissions
Salesgee includes role and permission controls to help business owners manage who can access specific areas of the platform.
Depending on assigned permissions, staff may have access to orders, customers, products, inventory, delivery records, campaigns, reports, finance, settings, notifications, or audit logs.
Business owners and administrators are responsible for assigning appropriate roles, removing inactive staff, reviewing permissions, and protecting account credentials.
Salesgee helps enforce permission controls, but each business must manage its users responsibly.
9. Audit Logs and Accountability
To protect businesses and improve accountability, Salesgee may record audit logs for important actions such as:
• Creating records
• Updating records
• Deleting records
• Changing order status
• Changing staff permissions
• Updating settings
• Logging in or out
• Performing sensitive actions
Audit logs may include user ID, action type, entity type, IP address, user agent, old values, new values, and timestamps.
These logs help businesses investigate activity, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and maintain operational accountability.
10. When We Share Information

Before deleting data, we may need to verify your identity and confirm your authority to make the request.
Some data may not be deleted immediately if we are required to retain it for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business reasons.
Where deletion is not immediately possible, we may restrict, archive, or anonymize the data where appropriate.
16. International Data Processing
Salesgee may use infrastructure, service providers, or systems located in different countries.
Where data is transferred or processed internationally, we take steps designed to protect the data in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements.
By using Salesgee, you understand that your data may be processed outside your country of residence where necessary to provide the service.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential marketing emails at any time.
However, we may still send important account, billing, security, legal, or service-related messages where necessary.
19. Security Responsibilities of Users
Salesgee works hard to protect your data, but account security is also a shared responsibility.
You should:
• Use strong passwords
• Keep login details private
• Limit staff access to only what they need
• Remove inactive staff accounts
• Review permissions regularly
• Avoid sharing admin accounts
• Keep your devices secure
• Report suspicious activity quickly
Salesgee is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by weak passwords, shared credentials, compromised devices, or misuse of staff permissions.
20. Data Breach Response
If we become aware of a security incident that affects personal data, we will investigate and take appropriate steps to contain, assess, and resolve the issue.
Where legally required, we will notify affected users, businesses, regulators, or other relevant parties.
We may also provide recommended actions to help users protect their accounts.
21. Third-Party Integrations
Salesgee may integrate with third-party tools such as ecommerce platforms, payment systems, email services, SMS providers, WhatsApp services, analytics tools, delivery services, or marketing platforms.
When you connect a third-party service, data may be shared between Salesgee and that service to perform the requested function.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Salesgee is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms you choose to connect.
